On May 15–17, 2026, nearly 350 riders took on the 21st annual Face of America: Gettysburg — a 110-mile cycling challenge from Arlington, Virginia, to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Hosted by World TEAM Sports and presented by the Osaic Foundation, the event brought together veterans, adaptive athletes, and civilians in a shared celebration of resilience, service, and community.
The journey began at Crystal City, VA, winding north through the Maryland countryside before culminating at the World War II American Experience Museum in Gettysburg, where cheering communities lined the route along the way.
What sets Face of America apart isn’t the distance — it’s who’s covering it. Upright, hand cycle, and recumbent riders share the same roads, often forging friendships that last long after the finish line. For many of the veterans and adaptive athletes in the field, the ride represents something far greater than a physical challenge: a return to team, mission, and purpose.
Riders raised over $750,000 to support inclusive athletic opportunities for veterans with disabilities — funds that power World TEAM Sports’ programs and make events like Face of America possible.
The camaraderie left a lasting mark across the field. Mary Gordon — Osaic Team Captain, Osaic Foundation Board Member, and VP of Partner Relations — traveled from Portland, Oregon to ride with Team Osaic.
“Face of America stands out as the most meaningful ride I’ve ever been part of,” Gordon said. “Sharing the road with adaptive athletes and fellow riders, each driven by a personal ‘why,’ built a powerful sense of camaraderie. Team Osaic can’t wait to be back next year.”
Her sentiment echoed across the finish line, where riders celebrated their achievement — and many signed up for 2027 on the spot.
